The Société Ivoirienne de Productions Animales (SIPRA: Ivorian Poultry Company) was founded in 1976 with aim to develop a modern poultry industry and thus contribute to food self-sufficiency in C?te d'Ivoire.


Today, as the leader of the poultry sector in C?te d'Ivoire, SIPRA consists of more than 1000 employees; executives, supervisors, veterinarians and technicians who are committed to the development of the company by demonstrating a high level of professionalism.


The strength of SIPRA lies in the organization of its poultry production business based on a complete integration system from breeders up to the consumer's plate.

SIPRA owns:
- Maize plantations,
- Food processing plants,
- Breeding flocks,
- A hatchery,
- Breeding farms for broilers and laying hens,
- A slaughterhouse,
- A sausage kitchen,
- A laboratory for analysis and quality control
- An egg packaging station,
- Owned distribution networks for all its products.

This model ensures traceability throughout the whole production chain.

SIPRA is thus present in every segment of the poultry sector and is positioned as the leader of modern poultry industry in Côte d’Ivoire and in the sub-region, with its 3 production units demonstrating a well-established expertise in every business line of this industry:


IVOIRE POUSSINS: Hatching and day-old chicks business; 1st hatchery operator in West Africa.
IVOGRAIN: Animal feed production business with a wide range of complete food for chicken, pig, rabbit, fish; cattle and other ruminants

COQIVOIRE: Slaughter, processing and distribution of poultry meat and derivatives. Ivorian leader in the production of poultry meat. 1st modern slaughterhouse in Côte d´Ivoire and 1st specialized distribution network for poultry meat.


With its ambition, SIPRA began the second phase of its development and diversification process through the creation of its subsidiary LMCI "Les Moulins de Côte d´Ivoire" in 2008.


The establishment of this modern flour mill in Côte d´Ivoire contributed to boost the wheat flour market.

In a growing Ivorian socio-economic context and with an increasingly young and demanding population, SIPRA seized the opportunity to continue its diversification process through the creation in 2015 of its second subsidiary, SARES «Société» Africaine de Restauration ", the result of a partnership with Total.CI


SARES with its trademark "TWEAT" positioned itself in Côte d´Ivoire as the first local "chicken fast-food" chain with the aim of expanding its activity in the rest of Africa.

Legal creation of SIPRA

Launching of activities related to the food processing plant, hatchery and slaughterhouse

1988 :
Construction of a maize processing and drying silo in the region of Yamoussoukro

2004 :
Establishment of Coqivoire distribution network 

2006 :
Legal Creation of the Moulins de C?te d’Ivoire (LMCI)

2008 :
Commissioning of the Moulins de C?te d’Ivoire (LMCI)

2014 :
Legal creation and launching of SARES, the first local fast-food chain

Legal creation of SOBUPRA in Burkina Faso, SIPRA's first subsidiary abroad
